Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This Cookie Policy describes how the Seldora application (hereinafter: the "Service"), available at app.seldora.ai, uses cookies.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on a user's device by a web browser. They are used to remember information about the user's session and preferences. Cookies may be created by the website being visited (first-party cookies) or by other services (third-party cookies).

2. Functional Cookies

The Service uses functional cookies necessary for the proper operation of the application. These cookies are always active and do not require consent.

Name Purpose Type Duration
__session User authentication — secure HTTP-only session cookie storing the session token HTTP-only, Secure Session
x-disclaimer-accepted Records that the user has accepted the medical disclaimer Functional 14 days
x-profile-complete Tracks profile completion status — prevents repeated redirects to the profile completion page Functional 14 days
x-user-role Stores the user's role (e.g., admin) for proper UI routing Functional 14 days
seldora_consent Remembers your analytics decision (1 = granted, 0 = declined). Without it the banner would ask again on every visit, and a withdrawn consent could not be kept withdrawn. Functional 12 months

3. Analytics Cookies

When you accept cookies via the cookie banner, the Service enables analytics tools — Firebase Analytics (powered by Google Analytics) and PostHog (product analytics) — to help us understand how the application and website are used. Analytics cookies are only set after you give consent — they are not loaded by default.

Analytics cookies collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and interaction patterns. This data is processed by Google (Firebase Analytics) and by PostHog, whose data is stored on servers in the European Union, and helps us improve the Service. PostHog sets a first-party cookie (on the seldora.ai domain) used to recognize a visitor's session. No advertising or remarketing cookies are used.

You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app: Settings → Account → App usage data. The same switch exists in the browser, on iOS and on Android, and withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Withdrawal stops further analytics collection and automatically deletes your analytics profile in PostHog. Individual events recorded earlier remain and still carry your account identifier — they are erased in full when you delete your account, or earlier on request (support@seldora.ai). This does not cover the technical monitoring described in section 4, which is not linked to your account. If you have no account (you only visit seldora.ai), withdraw by clearing your browser cookies — see section 6.

4. Technical monitoring without cookies

Regardless of analytics consent, we run technical monitoring of the Service: we record that a request to our API was made, when, how long it took, the response status code, the class of any error, the compute cost of an AI model response, and which internal capability handled it and whether that happened in text or voice mode. Without this we could not detect outages.

This record is created server-side — it uses no cookies and no other access to your device's storage, so it requires no cookie consent. Without analytics consent it is not linked to your account (we attribute it only to a platform: web, iOS or Android) and it never contains the content of your conversations. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and you have the right to object to it (Art. 21 GDPR) — see the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Beyond the analytics cookies described above (enabled only with your consent), Seldora does not use any other third-party cookies, except for the support chat described below. Specifically:

Support chat (Crisp). The seldora.ai website shows a "Chat with us" button. Until you press it, nothing from Crisp is loaded and no cookie is set. Once pressed, Crisp (Crisp IM SAS, France) sets cookies prefixed crisp-client/ on the seldora.ai domain (up to 6 months) that keep your conversation continuous across pages and visits. They are strictly necessary for the service you explicitly requested, so no separate consent is needed. We pass Crisp the page language, the page path and — if already typed or stored — the email from the signup field and campaign (UTM) parameters. Conversation content is processed by Crisp on servers in the European Union under a data processing agreement. Details: Crisp Privacy Policy.

When you make a purchase, you may be redirected to Stripe's checkout page. Stripe may set cookies on its own domain (stripe.com) during this process. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy and are not set on the Seldora domain.

6. Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

Note: Blocking or deleting functional cookies may prevent the Service from operating correctly, in particular requiring you to log in again or re-accept the disclaimer.
